President Carla Goff called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Members present were: Iris Hughes, Richard Castello, Justin Gaskin, Carla Goff, Susan Millard, Jim Rexford, Chad and Allison White, Robert Jespersen, Linda Keller-Decoteau, Stephanie Noyes, Jeanne Smith, and Mary Lou Petersen. Justin Gaskin motioned to approve the minutes as corrected sent via e-mail, Susan Millard 2nd, all ayes motion carried. There was no Treasurer report available. Monica Workman has given a verbal resignation to the President Carla Goff. President Goff appointed Secretary Stephanie Noyes as the position of Secretary/Treasurer. Jim Rexford motioned to except Monica Workman’s verbal resignation as the treasurer, Chad White 2nd, all ayes motion carried. Iris Hughes motioned to approve the Secretary Stephanie Noyes as the new Secretary/Treasurer, Jim Rexford 2nd, all ayes motion carried. Monica Workman will be removed from all accounts and Troy Petersen and Bill Hughes will audit the books. Bill list for August are Linda-website for $50.00, Newcastle radio for $69.75, and Basin radio for $261.12.

Correspondents for this month: KOAL Radio from Gillette would like to join the Chamber and is willing to help with events. Justin Gaskin gave the public relations update. Chad White gave the membership updates. Linda Keller-Decoteau gave the website updates and changes that were made and ones that will be made for next month. Business of the Month was Deere Haven. Slym Gym and Dr. McIntosh need to still have a ribbon cutting soon. Susan Millard gave the final report on jubilee. Citizen of the Year met will start advertising in the paper and get the box and ballots around town. The final three candidates for Citizen and Business of the Year will be announced 2-3 weeks before the event on October 8th so that it gives enough time to get a good count to the caters. Harvest Festival will be another event coming up soon.

Old Business: There was no old business to discuss.

New Business: There will be a meet the candidate’s forum at the fire hall on Thursday August, 12th at 7:00 pm. The next meeting will be September 8th with diner and social hour at 5:30 and meeting to start at 6:00. Stephanie Noyes will bring food, with no further business to discuss meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm.
